Week 4!

We'll be halfway through the first quarter when this week ends. Crazy! We're finishing up all of our review of previous knowledge and really getting into new learning. Here's a quick rundown of what we're focusing on this week!

Reading:
Kindergarten: - Reviewing the alphabet and reading some consonant-vowel-consonant words!
1st Grade: - Story Elements (Characters, Setting, Plot) and "short o" words
2nd Grade: - Story Elements (Characters, Setting, Plot) and "long a" words

Writing:
Verbs & Handwriting practice

Social Studies:
American Flag and Malaysian Flag - What do the different symbols stand for? How are the flags the same? How are they different?

Math:
Kindergarten: - basic number concepts, counting, ordering numbers, basic addition
1st/2nd Grade: - place value to the hundreds and 2-digit by 2-digit addition, with regrouping!

Bible:
Baby Isaac and God's promises to Abraham

Memory Verse- Genesis 18:14 "Is anything too difficult for the Lord? When I return to you about this time next year, Sarah will have a son."

Field trip on Thursday to the Ice Rink for some fun exercise! No School on Friday because of Staff Visa day!
